Pakistan’s military announced on September 11, 2025, the elimination of 19 Indian-backed terrorists during three intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. ISPR confirmed these militants belonging to “Fitna al Khwarij” were involved in various terrorist activities across KP.

Operation Overview
According to ISPR, operations took place between September 9 and 10, targeting terrorist hideouts in Mohmand, South Waziristan and Bannu districts of KP. Security forces neutralized a group of militants following an intense firefight in Mohmand and subsequent operations led to additional terrorist deaths throughout South Waziristan and Bannu; weapons, ammunition and explosives recovered from fallen militants indicate their role in attacks against Pakistani security forces and civilians.

Government Response
The federal government has applauded the efforts of Pakistan’s Armed Forces in these successful operations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari expressed their appreciation for their professionalism and dedication in protecting their nation from terrorist threats and foreign-backed militant networks operating within its borders.
